Next Thursday, July 21, Pokémon Unite celebrates its one-year anniversary. The Pokémon Company is celebrating with an anniversary event that includes multiple chances to earn nearly half a dozen free Pokémon Licenses, alongside a new Buss Rush mode.

Between when the event begins on July 21, and when it ends on October 13, players can login for up to five days, earning a new License and Holowear each day.

  • Day 1: Pikachu + Fashionable Style: Pikachu
  • Day 2: Lucario + Concert Style: Lucario
  • Day 3: Blastoise + Firefighter Style: Blastoise
  • Day 4: Snorlax + Bedtime Style: Snorlax
  • Day 5: Sylveon + Checkered Style: Sylveon

If a player already owns the license or Holowear, they’ll receive 100 Aeos coins for each one they own.

Also launching on July 21 is new Pokémon Glaceon, an attacker Pokémon. Players can earn the License by completing the Icy Glaceon Challenge, which runs through August 15.

Glaceon will be followed by Buzzwole on August 3, and Tyranitar on August 15, with another three Pokémon coming in September.

The new Boss Rush mode is Unite’s first PVE quick battle event. Teams work together to defeat waves of powerful Boss Pokémon. The higher the score, the more rewards the team will receive at the end.

Boss Rush will run through three different periods between July 21 and August 21.

July 21 also marks the start of Battle Pass Season 9 and Ranked Match Season 5. Trainers will receive rewards for inviting friends to the game, as well as teaming up with them.

Pokémon Unite is free-to-play on Switch and iOS and Android mobile devices. It’s rated E10+.
