During the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Gameloft announced that life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley will first launch in Early Access on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, on September 6.

Note that you have to purchase a Founder’s Pack to access the Early Access version (or have an Xbox Game Pass subscription). The Founder’s Pack will include rewards and special items that will unlock when the full game launches next year.

Disney Dreamlight Valley draws from the Animal Crossing life sim formula, infused with Disney worlds and characters. Players create their own avatar as they work to rebuild Dreamlight Valley after a calamity known as the Forgetting.

The new trailer reveals locations and characters based on Moana, Frozen, and The Little Mermaid, and many more. Cook meals with Remy, fish with Goofy, garden with Wall-E, and customize your clothing and your version of Dreamlight Valley.

The Early Access will be paid, but the full version of Disney Dreamlight Valley will launch as a free-to-play title, with in-game purchases, in 2023.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is rated E for Everyone.
