Warner Bros. Games and DC released the first official gameplay trailer for Gotham Knights. The upcoming third-person, open-world, action-RPG is launching on October 25 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were previously announced, but those version have been cancelled. The reason for dropping last-gen support, as the press release states, is “to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience.”

The extended gameplay video shows off co-op gameplay with Nightwing and Red Hood. It’s narrated by game director Geoff Ellenor. The video follows the two heroes around Gotham City, as they thwart crimes and investigate clues.

Nightwing, the former Robin, uses his twin combat sticks, acrobatics, and tech to defeat enemies. Red Hood, a violent anti-hero, wields twin firearms with aggressive melee skills.

The final game will include two more playable characters: Batgirl and Robin. The game takes place in a Gotham City where Batman has supposedly been killed, leaving his friends and allies to pick up the pieces.

Gotham Knights is now available for pre-order on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation, and Xbox, with Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions. The Deluxe Edition includes the Visionary Pack DLC, which features some boosted gear and salvage to help the early game. The physical Collector’s Edition includes a collectible map, statue, and game box.

All pre-orders include the 233 Kustom Batcycle skin. Gotham Knights has not yet been rated, but previous Batman games are typically T for Teen.
