Last year’s free-to-play mobile puzzle game Pokémon Café Mix just got a big update that revamps puzzles, adds new modes, and changes the stamina system. It’s such a big update they actually changed the name of the game to Pokémon Café ReMix.

Players are still running their own cute café, hiring, serving, and befriending Pokémon via Tsum Tsum match puzzles.. In addition to the normal levels, now there are several new game modes. In Visiting Mode you can choose your customers and earn bonuses for severing extra orders. Past Orders allow you to revisit any customers in Visting Mode to earn more stars. ONce you reach certain levels you can develop new menu items in Menu Development.

The puzzle themselves have also been updated. Main puzzles now feature three different difficulty tiers depending on objectives. Each Pokémon also has a special ability that can be activated during puzzles.

The stamina system has been changed to make it a bit more user-friendly, but the results may be a bit, err, mixed. Stamina (previously known as hearts) will regenerate every 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes. Team members can send stamina to each other. Stamina-based items will also be available, which prevent stamina loss for 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, stamina is consumed at the start of an order, whether you’re successful or not.

The update also adds new events and outfits to earn new Pokémon and dress them up in cute outfits.

Pokémon Café ReMix is available as a free download on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. It’s rated E for Everyone.
