Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics are celebrating the 25th anniversary of one of gaming’s most iconic heroes and long-running franchises: Lara Croft and Tomb Raider. This week is the specific 25th anniversary launch of the original Tomb Raider, and features fun videos, announcements, and giveaways.

The above video features all the many talented actresses, writers, and models who helped bring Lara Croft to life over the years.

The celebration is disappointingly light on actual game announcements, however. The biggest gaming news is that two older but excellent spin-off games, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, are coming to Nintendo Switch in 2022.

Guardian of Light released in 2010 as a smaller, arcade-like platformer-puzzle game. It’s a great game with excellent co-op thanks to Lara’s new ally Totec, as the two solve puzzles and challenges using their unique skills.

A direct sequel, Temple of Osiris, was released in 2014. They’ll represent Lara Croft’s first appearance on the Nintendo Switch.

Upcoming mobile spin-off Tomb Raider Reloaded is featuring the voice of long-running voice actress Keeley Hawes. For a limited time after launch, players will also be able to choose from three other voice actresses who have portrayed Lara in the past: Shelley Blond (Tomb Raider), Judith Gibbins (Tomb Raider 2), and Jonelle Elliot (Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation).

Reloaded is currently available in select Asian countries, and scheduled to release globally next year.
