With all these Harry Potter games coming out you’d think it was the 2000s. While we wait for the big budget RPG Hogwarts Legacy, Zynga has released Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, a classic Match-3 puzzle game on iOS, Android, and Amazon mobile devices as well as Facebook.

Puzzles & Spells takes players on a journey through the novels and films, including using voiceovers and soundtrack from the movies. Puzzles feature chocolate frogs, winged keys, and battle chess pieces as you create matches, earn spells, and unlock special boosts.

The mobile game features big scenes throughout the Harry Potter adventure, including Harry’s first trip on the Hogwarts Express, meeting Hagrid and his magical creatures, and Hermione casting Wingardium Leviosa.

“When the Harry Potter series first came to theatres, it was one of those rare moments when everyone was reading the same book, talking about the same film and coming together around a shared experience,” said Yaron Leyvand, Senior VP at Zynga. “ Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells honours fans’ connection to the series with a mobile game infused with the standout moments and delightful Wizarding World flourishes that have captivated a global following. The feedback from soft-launch has been outstanding, and we can’t wait for fans around the world to play.”

For the first week of launch players will instantly receive the Welcome Bundle, which includes gold, extra lives, and the Quidditch Goggles avatar item.

Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is free-to-play on mobile devices.
