Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is an upcoming Match-3 puzzle game for mobile devices. The game was announced earlier this year. This week we get our first glimpse at gameplay with the debut trailer.

The puzzle game takes full advantage of the Harry Potter license as you travel to Diagon Alley, the Hogwarts Express, and of course the wizarding school itself. Puzzles are themed around brewing potions, battling trolls, casting spells, and completing lessons alongside Harry, Ron, Hermione, and other familiar characters.

Unlike most Match-3 puzzle games, Puzzles & Spells will feature story and progression elements. Players will be able to join one of the four Hogwarts houses to build their club, share lives and strategies, and earn prizes in special events.

“From the Great Hall of Hogwarts to the Gryffindor common room, Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells gives players a chance to revisit their favorite Wizarding World landmarks in a new way,” said Bernard Kim, President of Publishing, Zynga. “This new trailer gives the first look at what to expect, and we urge fans to stay tuned to the magic, mischief and puzzles ahead through the game’s website.”

Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is developed by Zynga under the Portkey Games label from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It’s coming soon worldwide to the Apple App Store, Google Play, Facebook, and Amazon app store as a free-to-download title. Sign up for email updates at the official website.
