The broom-riding wizard sporting match Quidditch has been added as a new gameplay feature in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. It’s part of the largest content update to date since the mobile RPG launched earlier this Spring.

“Quidditch is one of the most iconic parts of the Hogwarts school experience and something our players have been clamoring for,” said Michael Brozman, Sr. Director of Product, Jam City. “We’ve added in a fun and challenging new skill-based mechanic alongside some very captivating characters who are new to the world of Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery. As a permanent fixture in the game, we couldn’t be more excited to bring this ongoing, multi-chaptered adventure to players, season after season.”

Quidditch is a permanent, ongoing, multi-season adventure, though players need to advance to at least year 2, chapter 6 to access it.

In the first season of Quidditch, players will be invited to participate in practices known as Quidditch Friendlies. In future seasons players will unlock new moves and abilities and progress through different positions like Chaser, Beater, and Seeker. Participants can earn prizes based on their team’s success. Prizes include unique brooms, house-themed face paint, and Quidditch uniforms.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is available on iOS and Android mobile devices. It’s free-to-download with microtransactions. It’s rated T for Teen.
