Disney released a new episode of As Told By Emoji, depicting the entire story of Kingdom Hearts 3. Sort of.

The four-minute video uses official Disney emojis to tell a very brief backstory of the original Kingdom Hearts game, when Sora first acquired the Keyblade and met Donald and Goofy. After that it jumps ahead to Kingdom Hearts 3, focusing on the world tour through several Disney and Pixar franchises, including Toy Story, Frozen, Tangled, and Monsters Inc. Sora and friends meet many famous Disney and Pixar characters and battle the heartless and the evil Organization XIII in each world.

The emoji video notably skips over Kingdom Hearts 2 and all of the side story spin-offs, which is probably for the best.

What makes this video particularity unique, aside from the cutesy factor, is that it’s actually posted on Disney’s official YouTube channel. Disney has rarely ever acknowledged the Kingdom Hearts series.

The third game has been long-awaited by fans of the unique Disney-RPG crossover series. The last main Kingdom Hearst game was released in 2005 on the PlayStation 2. Since its release two weeks ago, Kingdom Hearts 3 has sold over five million copies, bringing the series up to 30 million total.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s rated E10+ with Fantasy Violence, Mild Blood, and Alcohol Use.
