As announced last year, Monster Hunter: World fans will be treated to a fun collaboration with professional monster hunter Geralt of Rivia, also known as The Witcher. The crossover adds a new quest line that lets you play as Geralt to fight unique monsters and earn rewards. The event starts today, and it’s free.

To undertake the new quest line, you’ll need to be at least Hunter Rank 16. The quest is called Contract: Trouble in the Ancient Forest. You play as the Witcher (with original voice actor Doug Cockle) as he hunts an all-new beast called the Leshen. Players will utilize the Witcher’s signature skills, like his silver sword and magic. The quest line also adds lots of dialogue interaction, as seen in the above video.

Completing the quest offers lots of Witcher-themed rewards, including a Ciri armor set. Players will be able to craft Geralt’s weapons and armor, as well as armor and weapons for their Palico and other goodies.

Next week, starting Feb. 15, high level players (HR 50) will be able to take on an additional event. This quest will support multiple players with a much stronger version of the Leshen. It’s called Contract: Woodland Spirit, and will be available until March 1.

Monster Hunter: World is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Witcher event is currently available only to consoles, with PC coming later. Monster Hunter: World is rated T for Teen.
