PAX West is this weekend in Seattle, with plenty of spectacle, including a smashing event involving a real tank. Nicole gives the lowdown on the games she’s planning to see. We also talk about a bunch of other video game news and family business, including No Man’s Sky, Mass Effect, and how much kids love those Pokémon plushies.

News
- Nicole has a plan for covering PAX West for Pixelkin. Check out all the cool trailers for games she plans to see at the end of this post. They include 1979 Revolution, Urban Empire, Crest, Burly Men at Sea, Potions: A Curious Tale, Orwell, and a “typing with lasers” game that doesn’t have a name yet. Ark: Survival Evolved is going to have a 16-foot T-Rex. Wargaming is going to be smashing things with tanks. Including a porta potty.
- No Man’s Sky’s numbers have dropped precipitously.
- A certain exec has claimed EA is never, ever going to release a remaster of Mass Effect. Is it misleading in the same way the lead-up to the Game of Thrones TV series was? SPOILER ALERT for very tardy viewers: we talk about the alive or dead status of a certain GoT character.
- Nintendo is releasing a new Galaxy Style New 3DS XL.
- Listen to hear Stephen’s extensive predictions on what Nintendo is announcing in this week’s Nintendo Direct.

- Stephen talks about Shovel Knight.
