Pugstorm and Fireshine games are hosting a free weekend for Core Keeper on Steam. Interested players can download Core Keeper for free and play through Monday, October 12, at 10 am Pacific/1pm Eastern.

If you want to keep playing, the game is also conveniently on sale for 40% off. Any progress made during the free weekend will carry over to the full game.

Core Keeper is an open world survival crafting adventure with an isometric, pixel art visual style. It’s Terraria meets Stardew Valley!

Up to eight players can adventure together with drop in/drop out online multiplayer (no crossplay, however). Enemies dynamically scale to the number of players.

The world is set in a massive network of ancient caverns, waiting to be explored, dug out, and technologically advanced. There are nine biomes to discover, each with its own creatures, challenges, puzzles, resources, and discoveries. Between exploring, players can build and expand their home base, decorate with numerous objects, grow crops, spend time fishing, and hatch friendly pets.

After a successful 2-year stint in Early Access, Core Keeper released in 2024 in 1.0 and sold millions of copies. The co-op survival game has received several free major content updates over the months and years, adding new biomes and sub-biomes, items, bosses, and more. The free weekend celebrates the release of the latest big update, Riders of the Underground.

Core Keeper is available on PC, PlayStation, Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox consoles, and rated E for Everyone.
