The PC Gaming Show 2023, hosted by PC Gamer as part of the Summer Game Fest, featured over 50 games. Some were previously announced games that showed new trailers, details, and release dates, such as Mimimi’s next stealth game, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew.
There were also some new game announcements, including pixelated metroidvania Mariachi Legends, digital deckbuilder Earthless, and city-building sequel Frostpunk 2.

Frostpunk 2
11 bit studios announced a sequel to Frostpunk, a sobering survival city-builder set in an apocalyptic, icy Earth. The sequel is set 30 years after the original game. The world is stabilizing and humanity faces another age of expansion. If only they could get out of their own way.

Mariachi Legends
Mexican developer Halberd Studios is crafting a pixel-perfect 2D metroidvania steeped in Mexican culture in Mariachi Legends. Detective Pablo Cruz, disguised as a mariachi player, investigates an evil curse in the town of Santa Mascota using wits, swordplay, and supernatural abilities granted by Lady Death herself.

Critter Cove
Critter Cove is a colorful and relaxing life and town management sim set in a tropical world filled with explorable islands. Fish, swim, craft, and build, while also exploring underwater ruins and upgrading the town. Your upgradable ship plays a major role, unlocking further islands and deeper underwater excursions.

Earthless
In Earthless, the story of humankind’s one-way trip into space will be told through a roguelike card game. Each voyage will offer a unique series of cards to use, crew to manage, and challenges to overcome in grid-based combat. Earthless will launch first in Early Access and support two-player co-op.

Stampede Racing Royale
What happens when you take the chaotic, competitive silliness of Fall Guys and combing it with the beloved racing of Mario Kart? Stampede Racing Royale is a 60-player elimination kart racer design as a GAAS (Game As A Service) with seasonal updates, limited time events, and multiple game modes. It’s coming first to PC via Steam Early Access this Summer, then later on consoles.

Park Beyond
If Planet Coaster is a realistic simulation of running a theme park, Park Beyond is going a bit in the other direction, with wacky, gravity-defying rides. Pre-order bonuses feature cross-collaboration with another Bandia-Namco property: Pac-Man, including decorative items, entertainers, and rides, and a shop. Park Beyond will also feature cross-platform mod support coming in August.

My Friendly Neighborhood
My Friendly Neighborhood is obviously trying to replicate the runaway success of blood-less horror-survival game Five Nights at Freddy’s. Instead of a themed restaurant, these animatronic puppets are running amok on the set of a cancelled kids television series, and it’s a lot more action-oriented, with plenty of funny weapons, like the Rolodexer. My Friendly Neighborhood is arriving on PC first, followed by consoles at a later date.

Jumplight Odyssey
Jumplight Odyssey is a spaceship management game with the set dressing of a sincere 1970s anime series. Princess Euphora must lead her people to safety across the stars while avoiding the evil forces who hunt them down. Explore star systems, customize your spaceship, manage your crew, gather resources, and scramble your fighters. A free demo will be available during the next Steam Next Fest (June 19-26) before launching on Steam Early Access.
