ReedPop and Penny Arcade have announced the full schedule and exhibitor list for PAX East 2022, one of the largest video gaming conventions in the country. PAX East 2022 will run Thursday, April 21 through Sunday, April 24 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
It’s the first time the convention has been able to host an in-person event in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first post-pandemic PAX convention, PAX West 2021, required proof of COVID-19 vaccination as well as mandated face coverings, and that remains true with PAX East 2022.
However, PAX will no longer accept a negative COVID test instead of proof of vaccination. All attendees of PAX East 2022 must show proof of vaccination, and wear a face covering at all times.
PAX East 2022 will feature a keynote address by streamer, writer, producer, and voice actor Alanah Pearce, who currently works for Santa Monica Studios, known for the God of War series.
The expo hall will feature hundreds of developers, from AAA to indies, including Devolver Digital, 505 Games, Gearbox Software, Larian Studios, Humble Games, and XSeed. The full exhibitor list can be found here.
Tournaments and events include Valorant, Games Done Quick, and a $10k Splitgate “Almost Pro Splitgate Open,” hosted by professional casters. Attendees can also find panels, concerts, autograph signings, and more. See here for the full event schedule.
Four-day badges are still available at $235. Day passes can be purchased individually for $62 each, though Saturday badges are nearly sold out.
