The seventh generation Pokémon, from 2016’s Sun and Moon, are arriving in Pokémon GO. Through June 1 the Season of Alola event will feature new Pokémon first introduced in the Alola region, including the new starters.
The season features several seasonal bonuses, including free raid passes, more powerful and longer lasting incense, and guaranteed gifts from PokéStops.
New mini-events will roll out every two weeks, beginning March 1st. The first event, Welcome to Alola, naturally focuses on the starter Pokémon Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio, as well as Pikipik and Yungoos. You can find these Pokémon in the wild, as well as through hatching eggs. All their evolutions can be obtained, including the midday and midnight forms of Lycanroc.
Yungoos and Rockruff have a rare chance to appear in their shiny variants.
Raids will also feature Alola Pokémon, including Tapu Koko and Rockruff.
