One of our favorite local co-op games from 2018 is still getting DLC. This Sunday, July 5, Overcooked! 2 is getting a summer-themed seasonal update called Sun’s Out Buns Out. The bad news: it’s only out on PC initially (launching later this month on consoles). The good news: it’s totally free!

Sun’s Out Buns Out adds new chefs, new levels, and new recipes with summertime themes.

The free DLC adds the following content to Overcooked 2:

  • Two new canine chefs. I’m not sure what dogs have to do with summer, but I’m sure they’re good boys.
  • Two summer recipes: Ice cream floats and summer salad.
  • Five new levels, including a swimming pool, a parade float, and a fireworks factory.

Sun’s Out Buns Out also brings back the sauce dispensers from the Carnival of Chaos DLC, along with new fireworks hazards that create all kinds of explosive problems.

Overcooked 2 is currently 40% off during the Steam Summer Sale on PC ($14.99). You can also grab both Overbooked 1 and 2 for 59% off ($17.31).

Previous paid DLC includes Campfire Cook Off, Night of the Hangry Horde, and Carnival of Chaos, which were all part of the Overcooked! 2 season pass.

Overcooked! 2 is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One. It’s rated E for Everyone.
