In celebration of the first SteamWorld game turning ten, developer Image & Form have partnered with Super Rare Games to produce two limited physical editions for SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Heist, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

The SteamWorld Dig pack includes both the original game and the excellent 2017 sequel on the same cartridge. Only 5,000 copies will be produced.

The SteamWorld Dig games are 2D action-digging games with RPG elements. Players dig through an underground world collecting gems and minerals, and gaining upgrades and new abilities.

SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition includes extra DLC, and has been optimized for Nintendo Switch. Only 6,000 copies will be produced.

SteamWorld Heist has the same art style and cute robot theme as SteamWorld Dig, but in an entirely different genre. SteamWorld Heist is a 2D turn-based tactical game, not unlike the XCOM series. Players choose their characters from a salvage crew and explore spaceships and battle space pirates.

All three SteamWorld games offer between eight and 20 hours of gameplay. Each pack includes a manual, artwork, exclusive sticker, and three random trading cards (from a series of five).

Each collection will be available for pre-order on July 9, for $33.71. You can also purchase both physical collections as a special collector’s double-pack for $67.41. Games are due to ship at the end of July. Games are rated E10+.
