Mob Entertainment announced Escape From Playtime, a co-op spinoff set in the survival horror world of Poppy Playtime. A release date was not announced, but the game will arrive first via Early Access.

Escape From Playtime is a co-op game where 1-4 players play as the creepy Smiling Critters minions. Your task is to scavenge materials from around the abandoned toy factory while avoiding the more dangerous creatures that lurk within.

Each run generates a new area of the factory, from warehouses to classrooms and laboratories, while following the mysterious Voice that promises you freedom. By exploring the factory, solving puzzles, finding tools, and discovering hidden routes, players can increase their chances of survival, and mission success.

“We’ve always loved the idea that Playtime Co. is this huge, awful place with more hiding inside of it than anyone has seen,” said Brandon James, Game Director, Mob Entertainment. “Paired with our passion for exploring and building multiplayer experiences in this world, where Escape From Playtime started, and working together with our community, we’re creating a game that will continue to deliver excitement and surprises. And of course a good jump scare or two.”

Escape From Playtime will launch first in Early Access on Steam. The initial launch will feature eight playable characters, one starting zone, and a core lineup of enemies. Future updates will include more zones, playable Critters, features, and more. Fans can sign up for upcoming playtests via the official Poppy Playtime Discord server.
