Big news out of Gamescom for Stage Tour, the upcoming rock band rhythm game, including more confirmed songs, hardware pricing, and the all-important the release date. Stage Tour will launch on December 10 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
The new trailer features the Motley Crue song, “Kickstart My Heart,” one of over 90(!) songs that will be included in the game.
To date, the developers have confirmed the following 45 songs, which is less than half of the total set list on launch:

Built by developers who worked on the original Guitar Hero and DJ Hero franchises, Stage Tour brings back the golden age of officially licensed music rhythm games and plastic instrument controllers (circa mid to late 2000s). Up to four players can form a band and rock out with any combination of guitar, drums, microphone, or a standard gamepad, including local and cross-platform online play.
Stage Tour features four primary game modes. Quickplay is the familiar classic mode, while Judgements adds a new accuracy-based scoring system. A new Karaoke mode removes the vocals and doesn’t judge pitch for the microphone.
The new Tour mode is a roguelike, single-player experience as players build their music career from the garage and local venues to sold-out arenas.
And it wouldn’t be a Rock Band-esque rhythm game without actual instruments! Stage Tour features new guitar controllers, drum controllers, and microphones, while also supporting gamepads and keyboard and mouse with custom note charts.
These unique peripherals don’t come cheap, but if you’re anything like me, you have incredibly fond memories of plastic guitars and drum sets (which occasionally still get taken out of storage to this day!).
The game itself is priced at $39.99, but of course you’re going to want at least a guitar controller, if not more. That’s where the bundles come in:

The official FAQ states that Stage Tour will “support as many instrument controllers as possible.” Rock Band 4 instruments will work natively with the right platform. Older hardware from as far back as the PS2 era “may also work” but would require the use of an adapter for most modern consoles. PC will have a better chance of supporting legacy hardware.
