Paradox Interactive announced they are publishing Guardians of the Wild Sky, an open world survival-crafting adventure developed by Blue Isle Studios. Guardians of the Wild Sky will release on Steam Early Access next year.
Though the premise of an open world survival creature collector sounds similar to mega-popular game, Palworld, Guardians of the Wild Sky takes a more high-fantasy approach to its creature designs. Namely – dragons!
Up to four players can adventure through a world of floating islands, diverse wildlife, and dynamic weather. From the store page, it sounds like the game supports custom servers for multiplayer, but is also playable solo offline.
In addition to gathering resources and constructing their own villages and castles, players can befriend magical creatures called Guardians. Players can ride their Guardians into battle, and use them to navigate the skies, along with their airships and flying fortresses.
“We’ve spent years building Guardians of the Wild Sky into the game we’ve always wanted it to be, and partnering with Paradox gives us the opportunity to take that vision even further,” said Alex Tintor, Co-Founder at Blue Isle Studios. “They understand how to work closely with the community, share our ambition for where it can go, and bring the experience and resources to help us deliver something truly exceptional. For a small team like ours, this partnership is a huge milestone, and we couldn’t be more excited about what comes next.”
Guardians of the Wild Sky is set to release via Steam Early Access next year.
