Netflix has announced a partnership with Mattel to produce toys, collectibles, games, and other merchandise based on the incredibly popular animated film, K-Pop Demon Hunters.
Unfortunately, don’t expect to see anything until Spring 2026.
If you’re anything like my family, K-Pop Demon Hunters has become a household phenomenon thanks to its excellent animation, fun story, and legitimately great original soundtrack. Released over the Summer, the film has become Netflix’s most popular film of all time, with over 235 million views.
Even more impressive is the soundtrack, which hit #1 on Billboard’s 200 Albums chart. “Golden” has since become the longest-running #1 song by a girl group in this century (since Destiny’s Child, I believe).
The mega-hit caught Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation completely by surprise, as evidenced by the fact that we’re only just now getting a licensed toy deal in place.
“We’re thrilled to deepen our partnership with Netflix through the record-shattering, chart-topping KPop Demon Hunters,” said Roberto Stanichi, Chief Global Brand Officer, Mattel. “Celebrating the breakout characters at the heart of the film, Mattel will harness our world-class design, creative, and marketing expertise to introduce a broad range of products across major categories to the delight of fans around the world.”
Dolls, action figures, collectibles, playsets and more will be available at retail beginning Spring 2026.
The first offering will be through Mattel Creations, which will presell a three-pack of the HUNTR/X fashion dolls on November 12. The set features Rumi, Mira, and Zoey in their climactic outfits at the end of the film. Fans can sign up now to be notified when presales go live, though products won’t ship until 2026.
