GameMill Entertainment has released Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny, a co-op action-RPG, on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation 5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S ($49.99).
Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is a kid-friendly action-RPG starring several famous Nickelodeon characters from prominent cartoons:
- SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob SquarePants)
- Sandy Cheeks (SpongeBob SquarePants)
- Leonardo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
- Katara (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
- Timmy Turner, with Cosmo and Wanda (The Fairly OddParents)
- Susie Carmichael, with Reptar (Rugrats)
- Danny Phantom (Danny Phantom)
- Jenny Wakeman (My Life as a Teenage Robot)
- Jimmy Neutron, with Goddard (The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron)
The multiversal story kicks off with Timmy Turner, the wish-making star of The Fairly OddParents. Timmy wants to start a new campaign in his D&D-like RPG, and wishes the creatures were real. The wish sets off a chain reaction that pulls Timmy and his fairies, along with heroes from other Nickelodeon worlds, into a new fantasy world filled with monsters.
Each of the nine playable heroes represents a different fantasy class with their own unique weapons and powers. SpongeBob is a Knight, Katara a spellcaster, and Jimmy Neutron is an Engineer. Combat is real-time, with players hacking, slashing, summoning, and blasting their way through hordes of enemies.
As an RPG, each character can unlock new powers and weapon upgrades as they progress. Players will explore familiar locations from each universe, solving puzzles, uncovering secrets, and battling fantasy-versions of classic cartoon foes.
I’m really digging the colorful 2D character designs within the 3D worlds. The Dice of Destiny also supports up to four player couch co-op — nice!
Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny is available in standard and Digital Deluxe Editions. The Digital Deluxe Edition ($59.99) includes the Wardrobe of Wonder DLC, which includes one extra outfit for each playable character. The DLC is also available separately ($14.99).
