The folks at Frontier Developments have unveiled a new online Dinosaur Database for all the dinosaurs (and marine and flying reptiles, etc) appearing in Jurassic World Evolution 3.
The database is pretty darn spiffy, and quite educational. It’s full of fun dinosaur facts, including when the fossils were first discovered, its time period, size, and diet. Plus, neat 3D models and animations of adults and kids as they appear in game.
Currently, only about 20 dinos are listed, including Allosaurus, Stegosaurus, Velociraptor, and Tyrannosaurus Rex. Jurassic World Evolution 3 will feature over 80 prehistoric species, and it looks like more will be added to the Database every few days leading up to launch day.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 continues the management sim series of running your own theme park, or prehistoric reservation, or anything in between. The big new feature in the threequel is dino breeding. For the first time in the series, dinosaurs now feature dimorphism with distinct males and females that hatch and raise young. Over 70 of the 80+ species include juveniles that can be raised to adults over generations.
The threequel also features expanded construction tools and terraforming, a full campaign, and multiple game modes. Check out the new Feature Focus video from the developer:
For fans of Frontier’s Planet Zoo, it looks like Jurassic World Evolution 3 is benefiting from that sim’s advanced AI behaviors and construction features.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 will release on October 21 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s rated E10+.
