Part 2 of the Storybook Vale expansion for live service life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley has finally arrived. Part 2: The Unwritten Realm adds two highly anticipated character from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora and the villainous Maleficent.
Owners of the Storybook Vale expansion will find a letter in their mailbox once they’ve finished the quest, “A Long-Awaited Invitation.” Here’s a hint, if you haven’t met Maleficent yet, you haven’t progressed far enough!
The story has players returning to the Vale and reuniting with the DLC-specific characters, Merida, Flynn, and Hades. The entire Vale is in danger of becoming unwritten, and features dangerous whirlwinds to avoid, and evasive new snippets to catch.
The Unwritten Realm adds two new worlds, the Unwritten Realms and the Story Book World. Plus, a chance to interact with a certain trio of motherly fairies.
Even Maleficent will be forced to work with the player to avoid becoming unwritten. After finishing her story quest, Maleficent can be welcomed as a friend to the Valley. Like Jafar in Eternity Isle, she’s bound to her large home in the Vale.
Once the sorceress is settled in, players can then work on adding Aurora by completing another series of quests. Aurora comes with her own house that can be placed anywhere in the Valley.
Storybook Vale is a paid expansion for Disney Dreamlight Valley that first launched in November 2024. The expansion adds a new region with two primary zones, inspired by Hercules’ mythology and Sleeping Beauty’s fairy tale forest. With the addition of Part 2, the expansion adds five new characters: Merida, Flynn, Hades, Maleficent, and Aurora, along with their associated quests and rewards.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PC (Steam, Epic, Mac), PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. It’s rated E for Everyone.
