LEGO Fortnite gets a huge update today, with the new game mode, Brick Life. LEGO Fortnite Brick Life is a modern, social-focused mode that looks a lot like Grand Theft Auto – minus the M-rated violence and danger. Hey, it’s still LEGO after all!

Brick Life is set around the city of Brick Bay. Players can spend their time engaging in different professions, including Courier, Professor, Security Officer, Chef, and Scoundrel.

Gee, I wonder what everyone will pick!

Players can own their home by purchasing an empty lot and custom building their house, including furnishing with the Furniture Catalogue and Shop. Decor Bundles and Builds from the original LEGO Fornite (which is now called LEGO Fortnite Odyssey) are also compatible.

A major focus in Brick Life is socializing with other players (parents can adjust text chat settings in the main Fortnight menu). Players can meet up in the town square, hang out at the beach, and jam out with Jam Tracks from Fortnite.

Brick Life’s grand opening is on December 18 at the Rooftop Club, which is currently under construction.

LEGO Fortnite Odyssey is a major update to the original survival-crafting mode, adding some big story quests and a villainous faction. Odyssey has also added split-screen couch co-op on PlayStation and Xbox consoles— nice!

Players can sync their LEGO and Epic Games accounts to receive the Mr. Dappermint Outfit. First-timers will also unlock Explorer Emilie.

LEGO Fortnite Brick Life, and LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, are free-to-play, and accessible through the Fortnite game menu. They’re available on PC, PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, and Android mobile devices, and rated E10+.
