After a year in Steam Early Access, publisher tinyBuild and developer Mandragora have released I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival version 1.0 ($19.99). It’s currently on sale for 35% off through November 26 ($12.99).

Though many survival games take place in a post-apocalyptic setting, most aren’t described as ‘cozy.’ I Am Future is a more chill take on the genre, with players safely expanding their new home on the rooftops of skyscrapers.

As the last survivor on a flooded Earth, players explore the city, build farms, and construct helper robots for automation. Players can discover relics from the old world and dismantle them for special parts to craft their own gear, tools, and furniture.

“This is somewhat of a personal project for me,” said Eugene Kisterev, CEO, Mandragora – “I started developing I Am Future by moving from a big city to the countryside. I really wanted to convey the simplicity and serenity of life, which is sometimes lacking in a rapidly developing world. Over a year ago, I Am Future was released in Early Access, and since then, we have continued to develop the game, evolving and nurturing the original concept. Like any person on Earth, each of our players already contains the source of their own future, and we hope the game instills this reassuring and inspiring feeling. We are happy to invite new and returning players to version 1.0, which adds exciting content and provides a finale to our story mode.”

Since Early Access launch, I Am Future has received four major content updates, and sold over 100,000 copies. It supports Steam Deck and controllers.
