The next big update for life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley is Jungle Getaway, and it’s live now on PC, PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, and MacOS.

Shockingly, the October update doesn’t include anything spooky or Halloween-themed.

Instead of adding a new realm, Jungle Getaway brings players back to the Lion King realm, adding two new lovable characters: Timon the prairie dog and Pumbaa the warthog. Both characters feature their own friendship quests when they join the Valley.

While in the Lion King realm, players can enjoy a full day and night cycle (previously the realm was always nighttime).

Although the laid-back pair is all about carefree relaxation, the The Night Show Star Path is about rockstars and night concerts. The new Star Path features leather outfits, mohawks, and chains, and players can plop down entire stage concerts with lights and fireworks.

Still not really spooky season, though!

Dreamlight Valley is also adding the popular Disney Mini Backpacks from Loungefly (as well as dog harnesses). Soon your Disney avatar can match your real world backpack style. Two such styles will be available in the new Star Path.

New improvements include furniture items appearing Scrooge’s empty clothing displays, new realm items appearing in Scrooge’s regular rotation, and improved cursor movement for placing items. Plus, add crafting recipes as on-screen quest tracker – nice!

Popular life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley recently celebrated its two year anniversary earlier this year. The road map teased The Nightmare Before Christmas in Late 2024 — a proper seasonal update if there ever was one!

Disney Dreamlight Valley, and the Jungle Getaway update, is available on PC, PlayStation, Switch, Xbox and MacOS. It’s rated E for Everyone.
