Life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley is celebrating its second anniversary* this summer with a new 2024 content roadmap for the rest of the year (*Early Access, the 1.0 launch was December 2023).
In this year alone, Dreamlight Valley has added five new characters and two new realms, not including the multi-part Expansion Pass, A Rift in Time.
Arriving next to the Valley is Tiana and her restaurant, Tiana’s Palace, alongside a new Star Path inspired by her 1920s era. August will also see the conclusion of the A Rift in Time expansion, bringing Jafar to a final showdown.
New announcements include a smaller update in October, which brings players back to the Lion King realm for some new arrivals: Timon and Pumbaa. Players can help the brave duo face down an invasion of bugs, and bring them back to the Valley. The next update will also add cross-platform multiplayer for PlayStation players, and cross-saves coming soon.
At least one more big update is yet to come before the end of the year. The new roadmap teases Sally’s stitched dress outfit from A Nightmare Before Christmas — so expect it around the holidays.
In addition to the 2024 roadmap, the latest Disney Dreamlight Valley blog post reaffirms the developer’s commitment to listening to player feedback and quality of life improvements. A big example are the improvements to Scrooge McDuck’s Store. The next update will improve Furniture and Wardrobe menus, as well as new features to add “much more space and freedom” to players’ Valleys.
If you’ve been playing Dreamlight Valley for awhile, you know things are getting pretty crowded!
The developers also tease new multiplayer features coming in 2025.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. It’s rated E for Everyone.
