HoYoverse revealed the next update coming to live service gacha-RPG Zenless Zone Zero. Version 1.2, Tour de Inferno, will release on September 25, and focus on the biker gang faction, Sons of Calydon.
The biggest news are the two new characters, Caesar, and Burnice.
Caesar is the leader of the faction, and wields a sword and shield. She’s an S-rank Physical Defense Agent, using her shield to debuff enemies and protect allies.
Burnice is the gang’s “mixologist,”, an S-rank Fire Anomaly Agent who quickly builds up the Burn status with her twin flamethrowers. The new version also adds the Sons of Calydon’s signature Bangboo, Red Moccus.
The new story chapter centers on the desert outskirts of the Outer Ring, a stark contrast from the urban environment of Zenless’ previous content.
The Outer Ring is located outside New Eridu, and is filled with rich resources, dangerous enemies, and biker gangs. The new chapter features the Sons of Calydon and their logistics company transporting resources through dangerous Hollows while dealing with rival gangs. That includes new motorcycle racing missions!
As with Jane, players will also get to explore New Eridu as Caesar and Burnice.
Version 1.2 will also offer some quality of life improvements: faster animations on the TV board, preset team lineups (finally!), and a Backup Battery Charge for more stamina.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 will begin on September 25 with Caeasar’s limited banner first, followed by Burnice. Players can earn rewards with the Overlord’s Feast event, including earning A-rank faction member Lucy.
Zenless Zone Zero is free-to-play on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices (iOS, Android), and rated T for Teen.
