It’s been a great year for games in a variety of genres, including challenging souslike Black Myth Wukong, open-world heist-athon Star Wars Outlaws, and indie idle game sensation Rusty’s Retirement. And we’re just getting started!

Now that we’re in September, we’ve entering the fall gaming season with a gauntlet of huge releases, including long-awaited sequels, a new Zelda game, and even a retro platformer starring the Rugrats.

Check out the list of our most eagerly anticipated games still to come in 2024!

Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland

Uh, a Rugrats game in 2024? Yep! Adventures in Gameland is a 2D platformer inspired by the classic 90s Nickelodeon animated series. Play as Tommy, Chuckie, and the gang as they explore their make-believe worlds. The gameplay is also retro-inspired, playing like a classic NES platformer. In fact, players can swap between the modern art style and an 8-bit pixelated style straight out of the late 80s.

Funko Fusion

Those square-shaped, collectible Funko dolls have been pretty darn popular for years, showcasing every corner of pop culture in that distinct style. Zany, cooperative action gameplay that stars characters from Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Scott Pilgrim, The Walking Dead, and Voltron? Yes please!

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom aims to continue that top-down art style in an all-new adventure that actually stars Zelda. Yes, the first main Legend of Zelda game to star the titular Princess! Zelda uses new magical skills to create echoes of creatures and objects, using them to solve puzzles and ultimately save Link.

But don’t worry, our hero can still awaken fantastical creatures and use them in colorful, stylistic squad battles.
