Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment (The Division) have released one of the most anticipated games of the year, Star Wars Outlaws, on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox ($69.99). It’s billed as the first truly open world Star Wars adventure.

And it’s doing it without any Jedi.

Star Wars Outlaws stars new character Kay Vess, a Han Solo-esque scoundrel who works for various shady factions. The story is set smack dab in the middle of the Original Trilogy, between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, at the height of the Empire’s power.

While Vess lacks force powers and light-up swords, she does have a trusty blaster and an adorable axolotl/dog alien pet named Nix. Vess uses her her grappling hook, hacking devices, adrenaline (slowing down time), and stealth skills to even the odds against enemies.

While taking on missions, she’s free to explore planets on her speeder bike, and engage with procedurally generated events. Her story will take her across several planets and into space, where she battles enemy starfighters using her personal spaceship, the Trailblazer.

In addition to the standard edition, Star Wars Outlaws comes in a Gold and Ultimate Edition. The Gold Edition ($109.99) includes the post-launch Season Pass content, with new character packs and story packs, including a Day 1 exclusive mission. The Ultimate Edition ($129.99) also includes several in-game digital goodies, as well as the digital artbook.

Star Wars Outlaws is rated T for Teen.
