The city-based parental teams behind the free photo book app Recently, and blogger and consultant Alison Mazurek (600sqftandbaby), have joined forces to create a series of articles on preserving their kids’ artwork.
As a parent who lives in a tiny one bedroom apartment in a major city, Mazurek knows that clutter is a major concern. And every parent knows that as soon as their children begin drawing, they have lots of precious art to try and preserve!
The first article is a step-by-step guide into converting mountains of kid art from school, summer camps, and daycare into a manageable and cute art book, using the free iOS app.
The process involves taking well-lit pictures of each art piece, with plain white backgrounds. Then use Adobe Lightroom to uniformly edit 50 photos, and order them via Recently for automatic layout in a compact art book.
