During a new Dragon’s Dogma 2 showcase video (above), Capcom revealed the official release date for the highly anticipated sequel: Mach 22, 2024, on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The release date announcement came alongside a fancy trailer (below).

As in the first game, the main character is fully customizable as they become the Arisen, a hero whose heart is stolen by an evil dragon.

This new parallel world features two kingdoms. The human empire of Vermund, who uses a fake Arisen to maintain control, and the beastren nation of Battahl, who worship the Lambent Flame.

Players can also meet the elven enclave of Sacred Arbor, and all manner of mythologically-inspired monsters and beasts, such as the gigantic walking statue, Talos.

Core to the series are the Pawns, customizable NPCs who accompany the Arisen on their adventures, and play an important part in the game’s story. Pawns are as a customizable as the Arisen themselves, down to their vocation, voice, and personality type.

The Arisen will select various vocations that grant their abilities, including warrior, sorcerer, and the newly announced Trickster., which uses illusions and manipulation in battle.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the sequel to the 2011 cult classic, high fantasy action-RPG. In addition to the standard version($69.99), the sequel will also be available in a Deluxe Edition ($79.99). The Deluxe Edition includes several in-game goodies, and the Music and Sound collection. Pre-orders of either edition will also receive a bonus starting weapon for each vocation, while Deluxe pre-orders will also earn a magic ring.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 will release on March 22, 2024. It’s rated M for Mature.
