Players can sign up for the first closed beta test for Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, a mobile spinoff of the beloved Disney-JRPG series.

Watch the new trailer for Missing-Link above.

The closed beta test will begin with iOS users only, and run from November 29 through December 8 (exact times TBA). Android users will have to wait until January 2024.

Both iOS and Android users have until November 19 to sign up. Unfortunately the test will initially only be available for UK and Australia/NZ players, and will cap at about 3000 applicants.

This is an actual beta test, not early access. Player data will not carry over to the full release. Missing-Link could still host an open beta before launch.

We don’t know much about Missing-Link, but it’s described as a GPS-based action-RPG, so expect some Pokémon GO style real-world mapping and tracking. Players will take Sora and his Disney buddies into the real-world to fight the Heartless in a new storyline.

Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link is due to release sometime in 2024 on iOS and Android mobile devices. Square Enix is also developing Kingdom Hearts 4, announced last year during the series’ 20th anniversary. No release date has been announced, but hopefully it takes far less time than Kingdom Hearts 3!
