Tales of Arise was one of our favorite games of 2021. Bandai Namco realized this, and surprise announced a new DLC expansion.

Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn is a new expansion that continues the story with over 20 hours of content, launching November 9 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Beyond the Dawn takes place one year after the events of Tales of Arise, as Alphen and his allies (now called The Six, apparently) try to navigate the tense drama between the Dhanans and Renans.

They meet a young girl named Nazamil, a daughter of a Renan Lord, and a Dhanan. In a reverse twist of the original game, it looks like Nazamil will done the mask during the events of the story.

The DLC will add new quests, dungeons, and boss fights, for over 20 hours of new content.

Tales of Arise is the 17th entry in the long-running Tales RPG series. Here’s our Takeaway from our review: “Tales of Arise is a wonderfully modern triumph of the series’ signature combat, while still maintaining its classic JRPG roots. A must-play for genre fans.”

Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn will release November 9 on Steam PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s rated T for Teen.
