Dotemu and Tribute Games have released a new trailer for Dimension Shellshock, the upcoming DLC for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. The trailer teases the new Survival Mode coming in the DLC.

Survival Mode is a new game mode separate from the campaign. The players are tasked with collecting crystals that have been scattered around different worlds and eras, such as Edo Japan, or 8-bit Battleground.

Survival Mode plays out on a single screen with waves of enemies. At the end of each wave, players can choose between two powerups, buffs, health, or crystals.

The coolest powerups are definitely the ooze cannisters. Each ooze is labeled with a different character. Some oozes temporarily transform you into a boss enemy, such as Shredder or Rocksteady, complete with their signature moves. Nice!

By completing Survival Mode runs and earning enough crystals, you can unlock new color palette swaps for all the characters.

But wait, there’s more. For a more in-depth look, developers from Tribute Games showcased Survival Mode from the new DLC on an episode of PlayStation Underground.

And as previously announced, Dimension Shellshock will add a new playable character in frequent turtles guest-star Usagi Yojimbo. Usagi is playable in Story, Arcade, and Survival Mode.

Dimension Shellshock still doesn’t have a release date, but it’s due later this year. Shredder’s Revenge is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox. It’s rated E10+.
