Capcom’s team-based action game Exoprimal is releasing later this week on July 14. During the Exoprimal Showcase (above), the dev team shared the post-launch plans, which includes seasonal content updates.

Season 1 will kick off at launch, with a new game mode coming on July 28, Savage Gauntlet. Savage Gauntlet puts teams of five players into replayable, late-game missions that rotate each week.

Exoprimal will get its first major update on August 17, adding 10 Alpha variant Exosuits. These new suits feature different weapons, offering new loadouts that can be played in Savage Gauntlet or Dino Survival.

Dino Survival allows players to choose between PvP, PvE, or random. Even in PvE, you’ll be competing indirectly with other players, racing to complete objectives, while PvP features head-to-head battles at the end of matches. You won’t know what to expect if you select random, but you’ll get an XP bonus for the risk.

Season 2 will begin in October, and feature a collaboration with the recently released Street Fighter 6. The update will also include a new map, new rigs, and a new Final Mission.

Season 3 begins in January 2024, adding Beta variant Exosuits, as well as a new dino foe, the Neo Triceratops. And since Capcom loves cross-pollinating its franchises, look for an official Monster Hunter crossover in Season 3.

Exoprimal is an online action game that pits teams of players players in high-powered, customizable exo-suits versus waves of enraged dinosaurs (and sometimes fellow players).

Exoprimal will launch on July 14 on PC (Steam), PlayStation, and Xbox consoles, as well as Xbox Game Pass. It’s rated M for Mature.
