Tactics Ogre: Reborn is now available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Switch ($49.99).

Reborn is a modern-friendly remaster of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, which released on PSP in 2011, itself a remake of the 1995 original on Super Famicom (which released in the US on PlayStation in 1998). Whew!

Tactics Ogre: Reborn is a tactical RPG set in the Valerian Isles. Civil war erupts after the death of the king, throwing the isles into war between three factions.

Led by protagonist Denam Pavel, players will acquire and lead a team of allies, and battle on a grid-like battlefield. Each soldier features different classes, weapons, magic, and abilities with which to maximize your battle potential.

In addition to the usual remastered graphics, Reborn features fully voiced cutscenes (in English and Japanese), and a re-recorded orchestral soundtrack. Quality of life improvements include an improved UI, reworked AI, and redesigned battle system.

A Digital Premium Edition is also available ($59.99), and includes the original soundtrack. The Collector’s Edition is only available in Japan, but fans can pre-order the Reborn Tarot Card Set which is included in the Collector’s Edition.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn is rated T for Teen.
