How many mobile Harry Potter games do we need? At least one more, apparently. Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a collectible card game and RPG coming to mobile devices (and PC) later this year in North America. It’s developed by NetEase Games and published by Portkey Games, and will feature cross-progression between platforms.

A new trailer was shown during NetEase Games’ NetEase 2022 event. Sadly the trailer doesn’t show any actual gameplay. Boo! At least the art style is nice.

Magic Awakened is set several years after the original novels. Players create a new student for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Players can explore Hogwarts, brew potions, and master spells by collecting cards.

Over 80 spell cards can be added to your spellbook and leveled up. Battle creatures or other wizards in 1v1 and 2v2 real-time tactical battles by playing cards.

While a specific release date has not yet been announced, NetEase has revealed a collaboration with the latest Potterverse film, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, which premiered last month.

Pre-registration is available now for Android devices on the Google Play store. Pre-register to receive a Fantastic Beasts card pack. Sign ups unlock more rewards for when the game launches.
