Platforming Battle Royale Fall Guys is getting a makeover two years after its initial release on PlayStation 4 and Steam in 2020.

Epic Games and Mediatonic announced that Fall Guys is changing to a free-to-play model when it launches on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Epic Games Store on June 21.

However, Fall Guys is being removed from Steam. New players on PC will have to download and play via the Epic Games Store. Existing Steam players will still be able to login and play.

Fall Guys will support crossplay and cross-progression between platforms, though you’ll need an Epic Games account to play. Epic acquired Mediatonic in 2021, and began adapting Fall Guys into its free-to-play model a la Fortnite and Rocket League.

June 21 will also kick off a new era of seasonal content as we start over with a new season 1, called “Free for All.” Look for new levels, new costumes, new challenges — and a new season pass. The season pass can be purchased for Show-Bucks and features 100 levels of unlockable content.

Good news for existing players: anyone who played Fall Guys before June 21 will receive the Legacy Pack. The Legacy Pack includes a nickname, nameplate, a few costumes, and a free season pass for the first season.

Fall Guys is rated E for Everyone.
