The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) is hosting a free webinar, “Harnessing the Positive Power of Video Games.” The webinar takes place today at 9am Pacific/11am Eastern, and lasts for one hour. Registration is free at the ESRB website.

The virtual panel features ESRB president Patricia Vance, along with Dr. Rachel Kowert, psychologist and author of A Parent’s Guide to Video Games, and Andy Robertson, journalist and author of Taming Gaming. The webinar is moderated by Dr. Elizabeth Milovidov, an expert in digital parenting and child safety.

Family video game experts will discuss how playing video games can be beneficial for children and families. Topics include household rules, parental control settings, using ESRB ratings, and online safety tools.

The ESRB was established in 1994 as a self-regulatory board that rates video games and apps based on content, maturity, and interactive elements. Learn more about ESRB ratings and their review process, as well as helpful guides for parents at the ESRB website.
