EA and Respawn released a trailer showcasing what’s to come in the big Emergence update to Apex Legends, including the new Legend, Seer, and a major change to the World’s Edge map. Season 10 is dropping August 3rd.

Seer will be the 18th Legend in the game, and bears a striking resemble to Lil Nas X. The ambush artist excels at scouting and reconnaissance, able to visualize heartbeats of nearby enemies every time he looks down the sight of a gun. His tactical ability summons micro-drones that briefly reveals and interrupts enemies, while his ultimate summons a swarm of drones that reveal enemy locations as they move and fire weapons in a large area.

The World’s Edge map will represent a war between humanity and nature trying to reclaim the land. The refinery will be replaced by the Climatizer, where Hammond pumps out clouds to lower the temperature. The Climatizer is a larger area with more loot, and should tempt more players to the northern edge of the map.

Sorting Factory will be replaced by Lava Siphon, maintaining the lava levels of the area, along with a giant sinkhole that use to be the factory. Both new areas will feature gondola carts that provide aerial passageway across the map.

The new weapons is the Rampage LMG, which according to the trailer, can shoot down doors. Of course, Season 10 will also add a new Battle Pass full of goodies to unlock.

Season 10: Emergence will launch on August 3rd. Apex Legends is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, and mobile devices. It’s rated T for Teen.
