Scarlet Nexus is an upcoming anime-infused action-RPG. It’s launching June 25 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A free demo is releasing on PlayStation on May 28, but Bandai Namco announced that Xbox users will get first access this weekend, starting on May 21.

Scarlet Nexus is set in a future “brain punk” world where some people gain extra-sensory powers in the form of psychokinesis (basically, move stuff with your mind). At the same time, mutants known as Others have begun invading from the sky with a thirst for our powerful and juicy new brains.

Those equipped with psionic powers, such as protagonists Yuito Sumeragi and Kasane Randall, are recruited to the Other Suppression Force, where they defend humanity from the Others using their brain-powers. And swords, got to have swords.

In addition to the standard edition, the Deluxe Edition ($79.99) includes the Brain Punk Bundle, with digital artbook and soundtrack, and the red battle attire to outfit your team in matching uniforms. Next gen versions include 4K Ultra HD resolution with over 60 frames per second.

Scarlet Nexus releases June 25 on PC and consoles. If you pre-order, you’ll receive a limited edition SteelBook bonus. Demo will be available for Xbox on May 21, and PlayStation on May 28 (no news on PC Demo). It’s rated T for Teen.
