Last month Capcom released the Ghosts ‘n Goblins remake on Switch. Now we have a release date for other platforms. Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection will release on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 1 ($29.99).

Aside from overhauling the graphics, Resurrection also features modern game conveniences to help alleviate its legendary frustrating difficulty as the knight Arthur journeys across a dangerous land to rescue the princess. Multiple difficulty modes will be available, including Squire, Knight, and Legend. A special Page mode is also available, which includes unlimited lives and instant respawn. Young me is weeping with joy (and vindication).

Resurrection also adds cooperative multiplayer to the series for the first time. In two player co-op, the second player can assist Arthur by playing one of three different support characters. Barry can create magical barriers. Kerry can carry Arthur past danger, and Archie can build bridges for Arthur to cross.

Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection will launch on June 1 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Pre-orders on consoles will have access to the game 24 hours before release. Pre-orders on Steam will receive the wallpaper and mini-soundtrack set. Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection is also available on Switch. It’s rated E10+.
