Square Enix has announced a new digital showcase event, Square Enix Presents, where the publisher will announce new games, and include new trailer, videos and details on upcoming and ongoing titles. The 40-minute event will stream on March 18 at 10 am Pacific/1 pm Eastern on the official Square Enix Twitch and YouTube channels.
As part of the announcement, Square Enix confirmed several games that will be showcased during the event:
- World premiere of the next Life is Strange series, featuring a new protagonist wielding a new power.
- Outriders, co-op sci-fi RPG-shooter, launching April 1.
- Balan Wonderworld, 3D platformer from the original designers of Sonic, coming March 26.
- Tomb Raider 25th Anniversary
- Marvel’s Avengers
- Just Cause Mobile
The event will also reveal new mobile games from Square Enix Montreal, makers of the Hitman Go, Lara Croft Go, and Deus Ex Go mobile spin-offs, as well as “whimsical games” from Square Enix company Taito, developers of Bubble Bobble 4 Friends.
The inaugural Square Enix Presents features a Spring 2021 subheading. Presumably we’ll be seeing one of these digital events each season, joining the likes of Nintendo Direct and PlayStation Sate of Play with semi-regular digital showcases in place of large-scale tradeshow events like E3.
Square Enix Presents: Spring 2021 will stream on March 18.
