Modus Games zeroed in on a more specific release window for the hotly anticipated indie JRPG Cris Tales. Cris Tales is due to launch this July on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store). Watch the new gameplay trailer above.

Heroine Crisbell has the ability to slip through time during her adventure. She’ll need to travel through time, acquire allies, and alter the future to thwart the evil Time Empress. The RPG uses hand-drawn 2D artwork and animation, and cites RPGs like Chrono Trigger, Bravely Default, and Persona 5 as inspiration.

A physical Collector’s Edition was also recently announced, for $99. Aside from special packaging, the Collector’s Edition includes stickers, pins, lithographic prints, an art book, and a 9-inch Matias plush. It’s available for pre-order now for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC.

Cris Tales was originally announced during E3 2019, and a free demo is available on PlayStation, Switch, Xbox, Steam, and GOG.

Cris Tales is developed by SYCK and Dreams Uncorporated, and published by Modus Games. It has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
