In yet another case of Dang, I Should Have Waited for the Switch Port, THQ Nordic has announced that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will be launching on Nintendo Switch on March 16.

Re-Reckoning is an HD remaster of the 2012 action-RPG, the first and only game developed by 38 Studios. It was developed as a big budget, 50+ hour RPG set in a unique fantasy world at war with the fae. The large world featured cities, deserts, caverns, jungles, and more, with dozens of NPCs and side quests. Players can access three skill trees to freely mix and match abilities and weapon skills to create their own playstyle.

Aside from improved audio and visual quality, the HD remaster also includes a new Very Hard difficulty mode, an overhaul of the loot system, and scaling zones every time you enter, rather than just the first time.

Re-Reckoning also includes three DLC packs: The Teeth of Naros, the Legend of Dead Kel, and the Weapons and Armor bundles. THQ Nordic has previously announced plans to create an all-new DLC expansion, Fatesworn, set to release later this year.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is also available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam PC. It’s rated M for Mature.
