If you prefer your digital PC games sans Steam – or just love a good deal, the annual GOG Winter Sale has begun. The sale runs until January 4, 2021, but if you want to claim the free game, you’ll need to act soon.

This year’s free game is the prison management sim Prison Architect. It’s available to claim for the first 72 hours of the sale – all you need is an account, and click the Claim button the main page.

Aside from the freebie, the sale also includes over 3,300 discounted PC games up to 91% off. That’s a daunting catalog to search through. Thankfully GOG has several curated lists of discounted games, such as the Star Wars Essential Bundle, Disney Essential Bundle, The Mighty RPG Bundle, and a bundle that highlights all the most heavily discounted games.

There’s an even a Happy Family Collection, which includes family-friendly games like Costume Quest, Hello Neighbor, Kerbal Space Program, and several LEGO games.

Some of the publisher bundles include deals if you buy multiple games. For example, purchasing 3 or more games by Paradox Interactive nets an even deeper discount on the total.

This year’s Winter Sale is also the first chance to grab the recently re-released Konami games like Metal Gear Solid for 15% off.

Other highlighted deals include:

  • Desperados 3 (50% off)
  • Control Ultimate Edition (50% off)
  • The Outer Worlds (50% off)
  • Disco Elysium (40% off)
  • Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus (60% off)

The GOG Winter Sale ends Jan. 4, 2021.
