Private Division and developer Obsidian Entertainment have released the first major expansion to last year’s excellent shooter-RPG, The Outer Worlds. Peril on Gorgon adds a new adventure on an asteroid along with new weapons, armor, and a higher level cap. It’s available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and launching later for Switch.

Peril on Gorgon sends players to the mysterious Gorgon Asteroid. An abandoned Spacer’s Choice research facility holds numerous secrets through deep canyons and crumbling laboratories. It also holds sweet new loot, including three new science weapons and new armor sets. The newly raised level cap allows players to take on even more perks and flaws.

“We wanted to dig into pulp noir to explore the seedier side of Halcyon’s corporations,” said Carrie Patel, Game Director, Obsidian Entertainment. “With Peril on Gorgon, players (and their favorite crew members!) can explore an exciting new location filled with intrigue and threats, and they can uncover dangerous secrets about Spacer’s Choice.”

Peril on Gorgon can be purchased for $14.99 on PC (Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s also included in the season pass ($24.99), which will include the second of two planned narrative expansions, Murder on Eridanos. The Outer Worlds is rated M for Mature.
