Frontier Developments has announced the newest DLC pack for zoo sim Planet Zoo. The Australia Pack adds new animals, scenery, and construction pieces when it launches August 25, for $9.99.

Even if you’ve never been to the Land Down Under, chances are you can guess at least half of the new animals in the pack:

  • Koala
  • Red Kangaroo
  • Dingo
  • Southern Cassowary
  • Eastern Blue-Tongued Lizard

The Australia Pack also includes new flora and fauna scenery pieces and building construction pieces draw from contemporary Australian architecture.

The DLC will launch alongside a free 1.3 update for all Planet Zoo players. The 1.3 update will add genetics-driven animal color variations, new foliage and enrichment items, the much-requested vending machines, and a new scenario type.

With timed scenarios, zoo keepers will have to complete objectives and build a thriving park in a limited amount of time. Medals are awarded based on how quickly you complete the scenario.

The update includes one free timed scenario in Estonia, while others will be included in the Australia Pack DLC.

The Australia Pack is the third regional DLC pack for Planet Zoo, after the Arctic and South America Packs. With all three DLC packs there are now 90 animals available in Planet Zoo, though smaller animals are contained entirely within exhibits.

Planet Zoo is available on PC (Steam). It’s rated E10+.
